The Indochine II is the finest river vessel ever to sail the Mekong. This 31-cabin period-style ship measures 65 x 13 metres and is awash with style and sophistication. Onboard, passengers can enjoy the swimming pool, private balconies, movies, fine dining, conferences and numerous cultural activities in Indochine II’s air-conditioned lounge bar. The ship also has a spacious restaurant at the rear of the upper deck where a host of Continental and Asian dishes are served. The spacious cabins are equipped with security boxes, hot showers, central A/C and plenty of storage space. Indochine II has been approved by Bureau Veritas, the world’s leading company in vessel testing, inspection and certification.

Introduction

This traditional locally built boat started out as a freighter with a metal hull and a capacity of 150 tons, with two large but low-ceiling decks in order to maximize storage space. Like all ships of this type, it went up and down the Tonle Sap and Mekong, stopping at Siem Reap, Kompong Cham, Kratie and Stung Treng.

Accommodation

The Indochine II measures 65 meters long and 13 meters wide. It has 31 cabins - 23 upper deck, 8 main deck, each air-conditioned and with a bathroom (3.5m x 1.4m) including toilet, shower and sink. The water on board is taken from the river, passed through a powerful filtration system, U.V / ozone treated and chlorinated in the final step of the treatment.

Dining Room & Bar

The dining room, with its large panoramic picture windows, is located on the Upper Deck. All meals are served in a single seating. While catering to the Western palate, meals are a combination of Asian and Western cuisine. Local produce and fish provide the freshest of ingredients, and all non-alcoholic beverages are free of charge.

The ninety square meter Lounge is on the Sundeck along with the ship’s Bar. These are the central points for socializing when not on shore excursions. The large Sundeck is fitted with deck chairs where you can relax and enjoy the surrounding landscapes and watch the day to day activities of life along the river unfold.
